Christmas Time is Heeeeere…

Ok, so Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. EVER. I love it. It’s so cheery and sparkly and happy. Ahhh. Right now my townhouse smells like Christmas Cookies courtesy of a brand new Yankee Candle I purchased today. It’s been far too long since I’ve been shopping, I felt like I was relapsing or something. I got up this morning to be at the mall upon opening at 11am. My plan was as follows:

  1. Bakers Shoes sale for a pair of boots I’ve been lusting after for 6 months.
  2. Yankee Candle for some festive candles and gifts.
  3. Forever21 (hate that place) to use this damn merchandise credit on a blazer.
  4. Victoria’s Secret for gifting purposes.
  5. The Limited, also for gifting purposes.
  6. American Eagle, once again for gifting purposes.

I was successful in all of the above. HOWEVER, Bakers put me under a spell. I walked out of there with 1 pair of boots, 2 pairs of booties, and one pair of adorable Pippa/Kate-esque flats. As well as maybe an accessory or two. It was a fabulous success. Other than that, I feel really good about the gifts I bought today! I think I’m pretty much done with my one brother and haven’t even started on the other. Finished with my brother’s gf and my bf’s sister. Still have to hunt something awesome down for his brother-in-law. Hmm… suggestions?

In the spirit of Christmas, I’ve also decided that I need to put together a Winter To-Do list. I want a total of 20 things, so I’ve got to get this together. I know one for sure will be “Go for a run in Northern Ireland.” It’s a must. (Side note: 11 days until I leave!!! Yikes!) Other than that, it’s up in the air. I guess another should be “Complete all my grad school assignments so I can breathe easy for a few weeks.” Ok, so I’ve got two now. The rest will have to wait. Off to work on that second one now… :-/

Very successful day of shopping :-)

Love this. Not sure about the 100 arm circles, but I’m sure I can sub that for something else. Looks like a good plyo workout for the morning or post-evening workout!

livebreatheskinny:

Tell yourself, for every X minutes you’re doing an activty that has little movement, you will do one set of this. For example, “For every 15 minutes I’m on Tumblr, I’ll do a set” or “For every 25 minutes of a movie I watch, I’ll pause it and do a set.” This isn’t a punishment, this a reward. If you use this on a regular basis and throw in sets to make up for activities that burn very little calories, you will start to see a difference. In no time, you’ll be able to change the ratio of no-calorie activites to sets. It’ll go from 15 Tumblr minutes being worth one set to 10 Tumblr minutes being worth one set, or even 15 Tumblr minutes being worth two sets. You’ll want to do extra sets once you see the difference it makes.
